When I was in middle school, I saw a museum exhibition that featured Matisse’s famous cut paper images. I had never seen anything like them before. I was struck by his use of color, shape, and scale to communicate ideas, moods, and feelings. The quest to reduce things to their essence is something I have been grappling with in my art ever since.

In addition to creating digital prints and collages, I’ve been on my own journey of self-expression through monotype printmaking - where the plate records my process, which is then reflected in the finished, unique print.

Today, I’ve started to show my work online and at several venues including the North End Grill in New Rochelle, New York.
